Hug Point is an incredible place on the Oregon coast for an elopement. With a huge beach, incredible rock formations, caves formed by the tides, a wide waterfall into the ocean and an old-growth forests surrounding the beach, you get a little bit of everything all in one place. This incredible spot has so much room to explore and find the perfect place to say your vows.
What to know about Eloping at Hug Point Beach
High Tide makes the waterfall inaccessible, so you’ll need to plan your day with the tides in mind
Eloping at sunrise is best for the least crowds, eloping at sunrise on a weekday is even better
Hug Point is only a 45-minute drive from the Portland PDX Airport
Currently, you don’t need a permit to elope on Hug Point Beach
Hug Point Beach is dog friendly, making the number of reasons to not bring your dog….zero. 😉
I personally recommend staying in Manzanita instead of Cannon Beach, it’s less touristy and a sweet little quint town with a couple of great little restaurants and really pretty Airbnbs to rent for your stay
