When we're planning your elopement, I'm not just looking for a location where I can make beautiful photographs. I want to know what it feels like to spend time there. What you can experience beyond the ceremony. Whether we can spend an afternoon exploring, find an incredible place for dinner, or do something you've always wanted to try.
I'm thinking about the natural rhythm of a day in that place. The light, the weather, the seasons, how we get around, and whether the things you're most excited about are actually possible when you're planning to be there. Because there's a big difference between somewhere that looks extraordinary in a photograph and somewhere that's extraordinary to experience.
The goal is to choose a place that gives us room to build something you'll genuinely love living through, not just looking back at.
Where you choose to elope does more than set the scene. It shapes the pace of your day, the experiences you get to have, and the stories you'll remember long after it's over.

The places I keep returning to aren't random. I'm drawn to landscapes that make me want to pull over every five minutes, places with incredible food and interesting people, and experiences that push me a little outside my comfort zone.
I plan my travels around the best parts of the season. Oregon when the forests are impossibly green or the coast turns wild and moody. Alaska when the days seem to go on forever and there's so much to explore. Iceland when the landscape is green, the waterfalls are roaring, and the possibilities for getting out into the mountains are especially exciting.
These are places I love spending time in, not just places I want to photograph. And if one of them happens to be somewhere you've been dreaming about getting married, I'd love to hear what draws you there.
