Each year I choose 4-5 locations that I’m feeling artistically inspired by and drawn to and plan my travel and shooting schedule around them. My job as a photographer is to create art — and the best kind of art is brought to life by soul-quenching experiences and places that make you come alive.

When I’m considering my travel schedule, I do a ton of research. I look into the people, the culture, the landscape, and of course, what it logistically looks like to get married there.

Jayne planned out the perfect hike, sent over all of the documentation for my Type A self to feel secure and excited, and walked us through everything.
