I love a good mountaintop elopement and this one is a particular stunner. Jeremy and Andi first met while on a group hike together. The moment they knew they had something truly special was during a backpacking trip through Lassen National Park, California. They have been adventuring together ever since.
They married in the Applegate Valley of Southern Oregon, surrounded by a loving host of family and friends. Later, however, they wished to celebrate their vows in a special way that honored the core of their marriage, adventure. We laced up our hiking boots, strapped Andi’s jaw-dropping dress to the back of Jeremy’s pack, stocked up with some delicious snacks from Trader Joe’s, and ventured out. We hiked through the wild, arriving at an epic overlook of the glorious Mt. Shasta in Northern California. We explored, popped champagne, laughed, and took in the incredible sunset that graced the sky that evening. We did it all while capturing their love for each other and for the great outdoors that brought them together.

“Wow! Just…wow!! My husband and I spent a recent afternoon on top of a mountain with Jayne, our amazing and talented wedding photographer, to try to capture some beautiful post-wedding shots of us in our wedding attire after we returned from our honeymoon. Our goal was to truly celebrate our union in a place that makes us the most happy – the mountains!
We anticipated some great shots for a couple of reasons, including the fact that Jayne took INCREDIBLE wedding day shots the month prior (seriously, folks…gorgeous), as well as the fact that the beautiful and moody Mt. Shasta was our backdrop (holy cow, so majestic). What we received a couple weeks later was a broad collection of frame-worthy shots that had both my husband and I repeatedly saying “Whoa! These are stunning!”
Jayne and our mountaintop wedding photos have exceeded our expectations in every possible way. She’s so down to earth and easy to talk to, which really helps to create a relaxed and fun photo shoot. Her work really speaks for itself! She’s creative, has a keen eye for the “best” shot, will go to any lengths to get that “best” shot (she got on her husband’s shoulders to capture one of them!), and does it all with a refreshing smile and easy conversation.
