I believe a well packed carry on can make any travel experience 10X better. Here’s a few things I always bring to keep my body and mind in shape while I travel.

  1. Noise Canceling Headphones – I use my headphones listen to music and watch movies while I travel, but even more important I use a white noise app for red-eye flights to lull me to sleep. Works like a charm, especially paired with #3 below.
  2. Blowup Pillow – This pillow allows me to actually get a good nights sleep on red-eye flights and takes almost no space up in my carry on when deflated.
  3. Camera – If I can only choose one, it would have to be my Sony A7iv and my 50mm lens.
  4. Reusable Water Bottle – It’s so easy to reduce our eco-footprint and most airports have water-filling stations these days. Also doubles as a great way to express yourself. Stickers for days.
  5. Hydration Enhancers – Life savers. These keep me hydrated when I need it most.
  6. Theragun _ Call me crazy, but this is a life saver for tight and sore muscles after a long day shooting elopements.
  7. Mini Speaker – Music helps me relax, gets me inspired and it’s nice to be able to play some tunes while I’m editing in hotels.
  8. My Favorite Oversized Sweatshirt – It’s old, its stained, but it’s clean and makes me feel at home while on the road for long periods of time.
  9. Hat and Gloves – As my grandmother Marji preached, a pair of gloves and a hat can make all the different on a cold day.
  10. External Battery – For charging my phone when I need it most, which is usually after long flights for navigation.
